Treatment Plants

Approximately 200,000 litres of water are treated every day at the Agrodan water treatment plant, supplying employees, the school and the community with drinking water. In addition to this plant, Agrodan also has an industrial wastewater treatment plant, which collects all the effluent produced in the Packing House and either reconditions the water for reuse or prepares it for discharge.

Every day, 90,000 litres of water are reused.

The wastewater treatment plant has a capacity of 44 m³/day. On average, around 21,000 litres of sanitary wastewater are treated daily. This plant collects the sanitary wastewater produced by all employees, as well as by the school and canteens. The treated effluent is used to irrigate native plants that are part of the
reforestation project.

For sanitary wastewater, Agrodan has a UASB reactor. Once the effluent meets the required standards, it is used to irrigate landscaped and reforested areas.
